Well done to all competitors who took on this years Somerset Levels and Moors Marathon, the weather started well but afternoon heavy showers (including a HAIL shower) made interesting conditions for the competitors and the finish crew.  Before I put the results down I would like to take this opportunity to thank  Ken and Angie for the use of their facilities, Foster News and Bristol Blue Glass SW for sponsoring the race. I would especially like to thank all the marshals, the 1st Fosseway Scout Group and the other water stations, Grahame for his help this week in preparing the route and all other helpers.

This years race was won by Nathan Montague of Swindon Harriers in a record time of 3.10.33, first lady home was Kaz Hall from  Wirral AC in 3.38.28 (second time winner). The winner of the half marathon was Nick Daniels of Chard Road Runners in 1.39.01, first lady home was Nicola Wood in 2.10.43.
